PHILOSOPHY
Social justice can mean something very different to everyone, but my definition of social justice is justice to all, in all matter, whether it is politically, educationally, economically, etc. not minding race, sexuality, religion, etc. We are all humans and deserve all the same equal rights. Many topics rise when it comes to social justice, economy is a major one. Not everyone is stable and why is that? Would it be that they don’t carry the same education as a college or university graduate? They work as hard as any person who is trying to provide for their family so why not give them the same equalities? Just like this issue there are so many more where people of every race, gender, generation, and religion belief have experienced lack of justice when they deserve and have a right to everything the other person has. Social justice is the right of speech, the right to feel, to have a belief, and idea, an imagination, and most importantly, a passion where they can let loose and show all their knowledge and demonstrate to others what really drives them to not only do better for themselves but for others.
When my sister and I were small we loved to go to the corner store to buy candy, chips, juices, and all the goodies. One time that feeling, the feeling of getting home from school excited to get my candy ended. Waiting in line to pay for our candy with the 2 dollars in hand, our turn comes when the Caucasian cashier scans all the goodies that bring happiness to my heart and says “total is $3.00” without me knowing I give him the 2 dollars in my hand looking at as
without any pity in his eyes she doesn't accept the money and we had no choice but to walk out the store without any kind of goodies and as soon as we walk out the door the anger in his voice was stronger than mine and says
“why come in if you don’t have enough to pay with? I swear poor are the worst!” not knowing that we didn't lack of any money, any food, nor home, we had just brought the wrong amount of money to pay for our goodies.
